Warmer waters has the fish fired up! Light tackle action is keeping lines tight and anglers happy. We found a variety of nice fish along the mouth of the Caloosahatchee river on both the Fort Myers and Cape Coral sides. Live bait worked best for everything from Snook, trout, snappers, jacks, sharks and some nice Redfish!!
Speaking of Reds, the Redfish bite remains steady with the warming temps. We found schools of slot sized Reds chewing on the east side of Pine Island Sound directly across from Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We also found some nice upper slot reds in Matlacha pass this past week as well. Cut bait and small live pins did the trick!
