We were beyond honored to host three Vietnam War veterans this past week and they made it clear they wanted in on some Snook action. They wanted, we delivered. We found nice Snook along the mouth of the Caloosahatchee river on both the Fort Myers and Cape Coral sides. Big hearing did the trick for us on the higher tides.
Summertime is anyone’s guess on what will be biting today and we found the big jacks hungry almost everyday last week. We found big schools of Jack’s chewing on the east side of Pine Island Sound directly across from Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We also found some big trout mixed in with the Jacks on the late morning high tides along the Fort Myers and Cape Coral shorelines. Live pilchards worked best for them hungry boys!
Cape Coral fishing has been fantastic during the month of May and should stay strong during the month of June.
