Areas affected...portions of the middle and upper Ohio Valley

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 506...508...

   Valid 211908Z - 212045Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 506, 508
   continues.

SUMMARY...Threat for all severe hazards continues across portions of
the middle and upper Ohio Valley. A gradual transition towards
damaging/severe wind gusts as the predominant hazard is then
   expected through the afternoon.

DISCUSSION...Scattered convection with semi-discrete supercells has
developed along/ahead of an approaching cold front across portions
of the middle Ohio Valley with somewhat more isolated convection
also ongoing across western/central Ohio. The environment ahead of
these storms remains favorable for all severe hazards, especially
from eastern into southwestern Ohio where latest mesoanalysis
suggests effective SRH is greater and may support stronger
supercells in the near-term. Linear forcing along the front and
subsequent interactions between neighboring storms should then allow
for a transition into one or more clusters over the next 1-2 hours,
with a shift towards damaging/severe wind gusts as the main risk.
