DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Nine-E was located near latitude 15.0 North, longitude 106.8 West. The depression is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days or so, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm later tonight.
