DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Douglas was located near latitude 15.7 North, longitude 127.0 West. Douglas is moving toward the north near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue into Thursday. A gradual turn to the northwest is forecast late this week. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is expected tonight, followed by a gradual weakening trend starting on Thursday. Douglas is forecast to become post-tropical on Friday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
