As water temperatures continue to rise, the Snook bite has really turned on. We’ve been enjoying excellent light-tackle action, with quality fish being caught along the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River on both the Cape Coral and Fort Myers sides. Live bait has been producing the best results, especially during the higher incoming afternoon tides.
The Redfish bite remains strong as well. We’ve found good numbers of mid-slot Reds feeding along the eastern side of Pine Island Sound, directly across from Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Cut bait fished deep under the mangroves has been the key to consistent success.
If you’ve been thinking about booking a Cape Coral fishing charter, now is the time. The fishing is outstanding, and the opportunities only continue to improve as we move further into the season.
In addition to fishing charters, Salty Native Charters also offers eco tours, shelling excursions, dolphin tours, or customized trips that combine a little bit of everything. Whether you’re looking to catch fish, explore Southwest Florida’s beautiful waters, or create lasting family memories, we can tailor a trip to fit your needs.
