.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
 including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

Moderate to strong northeasterly winds and elevated seas will
persist throughout the weekend as an area of low pressure sits in
the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. Small Craft Advisories remain in
effect for the bays and coastal Gulf waters and a Gale Warning for
the offshore waters through this evening. With a cold front pushing
offshore today, the period of moderate northeasterly winds extends
into Monday. Caution flag or advisory conditions could linger
throughout the week. Another round of deeper tropical moisture
associated with an area of low pressure currently in the Bay of
Campeche will move into the western Gulf of Mexico this weekend
and drift towards the western Gulf coast in the early to middle
part of next week. Mariners should continue to monitor the
forecast as a tropical depression could potentially form in the
western Gulf by early next week.
