.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.
Gusty northerly winds around 20 knots with occasionally higher
gusts will continue through the next few hours. Winds will
decrease and veer northeast Friday evening into Saturday.
Scattered light showers return near daybreak Friday morning and
continue into Friday night before exiting to the east Saturday
morning. Light onshore winds develop late Saturday into Sunday
morning before offshore winds begin again by sunrise Sunday. A dry
cold front is expected to move through the coastal waters Sunday
afternoon bringing a period of strong north to northeasterly
winds Sunday evening into Monday morning.
