.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

Strong north to northwest winds and elevated seas are expected
through Monday. In addition, rain showers, and even a few
thunderstorms, are expected through tonight into the morning hours.
For areas near the coast, it is possible that rain changes to an
icy mix Sunday morning. The best chance of this occurring is in
the Matagorda Bay area. However, most coastal places have at least
a chance of seeing some wintry precipitation in the mix.
Temperatures will remain very cold through Monday night, with
freezing temperatures expected at the coast during the overnight
and morning hours. Winds and seas become much lighter by the
middle of the week. However, another storm system could bring
hazardous winds and seas the region by next weekend.
