Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ300-080630- 1248 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 .Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Tropical Storm Isaias is expected to become a hurricane before moving ashore into the central Gulf Coast later this week. Though it should track well to our east, we may still experience increasing Gulf seas, swells, and winds later today through early Saturday. We continue to think Small Craft conditions are likely in the offshore Gulf. Winds and seas should decrease late Saturday into Sunday. Water levels will also run above normal, possibly nearing Coastal Flood Advisory thresholds by Friday. $$ |
