.SYNOPSIS FOR PASCAGOULA TO ATCHAFALAYA RIVER OUT 60 NM...
Weak high pressure over the north-central Gulf will maintain west to
southwest winds of 5 to 15 knots through midweek, with occasional
increases to near 20 knots over the Mississippi Sound and eastern
waters at night. A weak front will settle toward the northern Gulf
Coast Thursday and remain nearby through the weekend, bringing
increasing thunderstorm coverage. Seas will generally remain 1 to
3 feet nearshore and 2 to 4 feet offshore, although locally
hazardous winds, waves, lightning, and reduced visibility will occur
near stronger storms.
