DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 1100 PM HST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Hone was
located near latitude 19.3 North, longitude 159.7 West. Hone is
moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h) and this motion is
expected to continue for the next few days. On the forecast track, 
Hone will continue moving away from the main Hawaiian Islands, and 
pass well north of Johnston Island Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Continued weakening is forecast during the next few days.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).


HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND

RAINFALL: Trailing rain bands from Hone which have been producing 
flash flooding on the Big Island on Sunday will continue to diminish
overnight.
