.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.
Southerly winds have developed and will persist through the
weekend. Seas look to remain generally in the 3 to 5 foot range,
with the higher seas farther from shore. Patchy, but dense, sea
fog will be possible through Monday night in the Bays and
nearshore waters. A weak front will approach the coast late
Monday, but at this time it is unclear if it will have enough of a
push to make it all the way offshore before stalling and wash
out. Onshore flow and seas resume Tuesday and increase for the
second half of the work week.
