Hello Cape Weather user!

Thank you for taking the time to read this post! With sad news, this website will no longer be able to sustain all of it’s features due to cost. Beginning in early 2026, the radar, 10 day forecast, and most of the hurricane tracking information will be stripped and updated with something that is free or much less than what we are currently paying. The quality of the content will not be as good but we have no choice but to down scale services. This is not by choice but just part of what has evolved with inflation over the past 3-5 years. We tried setting up areas on this website for donations, small dollar monthly memberships,  and even advertisement opportunities, but those have not worked out. For 20 years, I have tried my best to enhance weather tools specific to SWFL and even throughout the United States, but unfortunately the ad income that was covering 100% of the cost has gone way down. Even though the website still maintains high traffic volume, advertisers have been scaling back on what they spend with less going to the publisher. So when the bill is higher than the dollar amount needed to make payment, something has to change. I will probably start decommissioning and replacing content on the website in early to mid February of 2026. I sincerely apologize but I have no choice unless by some miracle this page reaches enough people that may be willing to help offset expenses. If you have any ideas or input, feel free to reach out to me through the contact form. I am sharing this information today so users that frequent this website are aware of what is coming. Thank you.

Chris
