NOAA radar data indicate that the maximum sustained winds are now near 80 mph (130 km/h) with higher gusts. The estimated minimum pressure based on a recent surface observation from Moody Air Force Base is 978 mb (28.88 inches). A Weatherflow station near Jekyll Island in Georgia recently reported sustained winds of 43 mph (69 km/h) with a wind gust to 55 mph (89 km/h).
