Where is the closest snow to SWFL in mid December??? My daughter would like to see snow during winter break.

There will be snow at the Publix parking lot on Cape Coral Parkway on Dec. 6. That's the holiday tree lighting festival.

Stay Home. We actually had snow flurries in Cape Coral on Christmas Eve 1989. Followed a lone cloud with flurries from Coral Oaks Golf Course in the north Cape to our house by Palmetto Pines GC at Chiquita and Trafalger.My young daughter at the time had never seen snow and thought the snow was bugs in front of of the car headlights. Once home, she tried to catch one of the few flakes on her tongue. Bird bath in the yard froze solid that Christmas Eve.
