Look to the south. The gfs model suggests that the small mass of convection in the SW Caribbean could become something, and as October approaches, climatology will favor this region more and more.

I honestly could care less if Cuba gets it again, I just don't feel like putting the shutters back up. Hopefully all will be quiet in the USA for a while.

Hopefully your comment was the result of fatigue, stress, and relief that Ike didn’t hit where you live. I’d hate to think that you really have so little regard for your fellow human beings, regardless of where they live or what nationality they are.

What I don't understand is why everything has to be taken into such a literal context in today's society, what I was getting at was with all the problems in the USA right now the last place I'm going to think about is Cuba. I meant no ill will to all of it's citizens who I'm sure will be flocking here by the boatloads now that their homes are destroyed and the threat of hurricanes has passed for a while. If that makes me a bad person or immoral in some peoples eyes than so be it. I'm going to hop off my soap box now, maybe you should too. And by the way I'm a proud citizen of Cape Coral.

And now, back to the weather... Smile It seems that we'll have to keep looking at the SW Caribbean for at least a week.

The NAM model clearly indicates that something is about to "perk" in the Caribbean near Puerto Rico and then move generally to the west.

Here we go again! Crying or Very sad Actually, we may techically also get hit, as the steering currents may take it close to Guantánamo.
