Looking at the tropical models, everything looks to be quiet for the next week, probably longer. Where should we look for something to spin up? SW Caribbean? Gulf of Mexico? Mid Atlantic? Seems African development isn't likely any time soon. I would say SW Caribbean only because that is the area under the least influence of a BIG high pressure over most of the Atlantic basin.

Lost in the drama over every little Invest thousands of miles away is the fact that the benign weather synopses have given much of Florida some desperately needed above-average rainfall during this rainy season. All the exaggerations about our "diminishing" water supply should finally cease for a while now... unless they decide to purge Lake O again like they did in 2005.
