Dolly being bugged by aircraft. The AF recon that I thought was leaving turned and made more runs for another two hours along with the NOAA plane. Now the AF plane has finally left leaving the NOAA plane to finish it's mission. Meanwhile another AF recon plane is on the runway and will be taking off shortly. There will be AT LEAST one plane in Dolly right up until landfall.

Late night report:

12:30 pm-12:50 am. Very strong thunderstorm hits my area of northern Virginia, about one hour west of Washington Dulles Airport.

1:10 am: Dolly look impressive on radar, and may still be strengthening. Is almost stationary, maybe a slight movement to the west or northwest. I believe that the South Padre Island area will get a pretty mighty storm surge from this one.

Storm really intensified during the night and it's almost to a complete halt on the coast line. Not a good thing for the folks in Brownsville.
